The City of Edgewood, Iowa, seeks applications for the City Administrator/Clerk position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to preparation of the annual budget, responsibility for the administration of ordinances, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, utility billing and collection, preparation of all state and federal reports as required by law, attendance at and preparation of agendas and minutes for all city council proceedings. The City Administrator will work with the Mayor and Council to ensure that the City of Edgewood remains vibrant and fiscally secure.
Candidates should be proficient in general office practices and software and have experience or be trainable in municipal software. The candidate should also have good organizational skills and be a skilled communicator.
A degree in accounting, business, or public administration and/or 5 years of equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
The candidate will be required to attain Certified Municipal Clerk designation if they are not already.
This is a full-time position. Benefits include IPERS retirement, health insurance, paid vacation, holidays, and sick days.
Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.

Job Description:
The Clayton County Conservation Board is seeking a personable and welcoming history buff to fill the
position of Seasonal Coordinator at the Motor Mill Historic Site near Elkader. The applicant should be
comfortable working with adults and youth, developing and presenting education programs, fielding
questions, welcoming visitors, operating a gift shop, providing information and site direction, and
social media advertising. The applicant will be under the direct supervision of the Clayton County
Conservation Board Director. The applicant will help staff the welcome center at the Motor Mill Inn and
be assisting the Motor Mill Foundation in working towards several objectives related to the interpretive
themes outlined in the Motor Mill Interpretive Master Plan. Seasonal, full-time or part-time, depending
on interested parties. Up to 40 hours per week. Will include weekend hours, Saturday, and Sunday
11am-5:30pm.
Qualifications:
Any interested candidate should have experience with and an interest in learning more in one of the
following fields of study: History, Education, Museum Studies, and Interpretation. Must be at least 18
years old. Pre-employment physical and drug testing required.
Salary and Work Dates:
$14.00 per hour, 20-40 hours per week. The position begins in May and will run 14 weeks. Work will be
at the Osborne Conservation Center, Motor Mill Historic Site, and program sites in Clayton County.

Seasonal, full-time position under the supervision of the Clayton County Conservation Board
Operations & Maintenance Staff. Assist with maintenance and development of county parks. Job duties
include mowing, trail maintenance, trash removal, pit toilet upkeep, care of live animals and other
duties as required. 40 hours per week. Will include some weekend work. Physically demanding position.
Applicants will work a full day in extreme temperatures.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have interest in biology, ecology, natural sciences or conservation management.
Experience operating mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and other equipment would be beneficial. Must be

$12.00-$14.00 per hour, 40 hours per week. Positions begin in May and will run 14 weeks.
