Art by the River Fine Art Festival & Fine Art Show | June 8, Guttenberg

GUTTENBERG GALLERY & CREATIVITY CENTER announces the third annual Art By the River Festival & Fine Art Show on June 8th, 2019 in Ingleside Park along the banks of the Mississippi river in Guttenberg, Iowa.

This is one day festival features over 30 area artists lining their tents along the river walk for you pleasure and purchase. There will be a variety of mediums represented, including jewelry, glass, pottery, baskets, photography, water color, ink wash, reclaimed wood, textiles and mixed media. There will be artist demos including lampwork by Illinois artist, Ramon Ramirez. Plein Air painters will be along the Riverwalk painting the amazing river vista.

The festival runs from 9 – 4 with live music beginning at 10 AM in the musician’s pavilion, featuring Sophia Landis. Her sweet soulful music will be the perfect match for the outdoor Yoga class, also beginning at 10 AM. Musicians, Bruce Bryant of Carpe Diem, and Mark Campbell follows.

Activities for youth will take place in the big pavilion where kids can participate in art projects with a river theme. Both youth and adults can make an art flag that will hang in the trees by the music pavilion all day.

Adults can participate in wheel pottery and a mixed media workshop taught by artist, Josh Gomez. Other adult workshops will be available also.

Various food vendors will provide snow cones, cotton candy, barbecue and more!
