Strawberry Point located four miles north of Backbone State Park, received its name from the many wild strawberries once found in the area. Celebrating the town's unique name, citizens mounted a symbolic srawberry "billed as the world's largest" at the site of city hall. The annual Strawberry Days celebration takes place the second weekend in June with a parade, carnival rides, games and more. Free strawberries and ice cream are served Sunday afternoon.
