Take a short drive along the scenic Great River Road and you'll come across Pike's Peak State Park, where you can view the Mississippi from her highest bluff. More spectacular views of the river can be seen as you take a hike along the various trails that wind through the bluffs. Drive a bit further along the Great River Road, and you'll come across Effigy Mounds National Monument where you'll discover even more great views as well as the unique, historic Native American burial mounds. |
