Garnavillo Historical Museum
Built in 1866 as a Congregational Church, the Garnavillo Historical Musuem is now the home of thousands of early manuscripts dating back to 1750, important old maps and photos, Indian artifacts from 12,000 BC, mastadon remains, wood carvings, early tools and pioneer household items. An original authentically furnished pioneer log cabin with a working stone fireplace and a loft with a ladder as well as an Early Lodge Hall built in 1860 are both within walking distance of the museum.
